Ross Scott joins Alpha FMC as executive director

20 February 2024 Consultancy.uk

Ross Scott has joined Alpha FMC’s UK wealth management consulting team as a director. He is the asset management, wealth management and insurance industry consultancy’s fourth senior hire since October 2023.

Speaking on his arrival, Scott commented, “Given the significant changes being seen in the wealth management and private banking market globally, and Alpha being recognised as market leading within this sector this is a logical next step for me. I am looking forward to getting started and help further cement Alpha FMC’s scale and expert proposition, while delivering quality outcomes for our clients.”

Headquartered in the UK and quoted on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange, Alpha FMC is a leading global provider of specialist consultancy services to the asset management, wealth management and insurance industries. As the firm looks to enhance this reputation, Scott’s appointment follows the hire of Scott Lee to Alpha FMC’s wealth team in January 2024, along with Jamie Forrester, Caroline Burkart and Basak Alhan Aydin late in 2023.

Scott Lee joins Alpha FMC as executive director

Based in Edinburgh, Scott joins Alpha FMC from Deloitte, where he has been a director leading major change and transformation programmes within the financial services sector. That remit has come with a specific focus on risk advisory and remediation work within global wealth managers and private banks.

Throughout his 14 years with the Big Four firm, he has been based and worked with clients across UK, Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, prior to Deloitte, Scott spent four years at NatWest and holds a degree in economics and management from the University of Aberdeen.

Chris Kroeger, head of UK asset and wealth management at Alpha FMC, added, "We have seen sustained demand for our services in wealth management and private banking over the past year, validating our belief and ambition in this market. In Ross, we have another highly-talented Director to join Scott, Jamie and the team to accelerate our growth. 2024 looks like an exciting year for Alpha in wealth management and private banking, with our new hires on board, and I look forward to helping new and existing clients capitalise on this attractive market.”
