Buki’s appointment reflects a real need among our clients to embed sustainable change in a way that supports their resilience and ensures they can manage risk and adapt to uncertainty. I look forward to the value she’ll bring, both to our clients and to our wider business, as we continue to grow and develop.”

Crowe makes Buki Obayiuwana head of transformation in risk team

The risk consulting team’s approach centres around collaboration with their clients, something which has helped it become a trusted partner to help progressive organisations navigate their risk, resilience and sustainability journeys. This is further enhanced by Obayiuwana’s arrival.

Obayiuwana joins Crowe from Inastrum Consultants, an independent firm focused on business change and transformation. A chartered accountant and transformation specialist, Obayiuwana has a proven record of leading and delivering complex portfolios of change and transformation across many functions and sectors, including a recent £50 million strategic change portfolio covering all corporate functions for a large financial services group.

With over 20 years’ experience, Obayiuwana has held many leadership and consulting roles, where she built expertise in the financial services sector with a particular focus on insurance and asset management. In her new role, Obayiuwana will lead the transformation services offered by Crowe’s risk consulting wing, helping clients to ensure that change and transformation projects make a positive difference to their businesses and leave an enduring legacy.

Speaking on her new role, Obayiuwana added, “Boards and senior management must navigate a complex and evolving risk and regulatory landscape. They must be seen to respond effectively to demand from investors, campaigners, customers, and employees alike to demonstrate real progress and commitment to ESG, climate and sustainability related matters, as a core part of the delivery of their strategic outcomes. Sustainability and climate change are the most recent challenges, but they won’t be the last.”
