James Brewin promoted to principal at Gate One

Gate One has promoted James Brewin to principal in its London office. Brewin joined the firm as a consultant in 2017.

Launched in 2013, Gate One is a digital and business transformation consultancy. Amid heightened demand for support with digital transformations – and buoyed by investment from Havas – the firm has been able to grow rapidly in the UK, and recently expanded to France, Ireland and the US to serve its growing customer base. Recruitment is underway for experienced management consultants in all offices.

That does not mean that the firm is overlooking its talents internally, though. James Brewin, a consultant who joined from EY six years ago, has been rewarded for his dedication to the firm with a promotion to principal.

Brewin joined EY as a graduate, working his way up to the rank of senior consultant by the end of his three year stint at the firm. Relocating to London for his work, he accrued experience from a number of high profile projects, including working with a Department of Health Procurement transformation programme redesigning the NHS supply chain – a project for which he was the project and transition manager.

In his early days with Gate One, Brewin applied this knowhow as a programme manager for the design, test and build of an £8 million new digital tool at a major UK pension fund; led the building of a key business development proposition in the digital strategy space; and conducted a detailed digital maturity assessment of six overseas health economies on behalf of the UK government. He was subsequently elevated to senior consultant, and then manager, before his latest promotion this year.

Speaking via a post on his personal LinkedIn – which has received more than 300 engagements from colleagues and well-wishers – Brewin commented, “Absolutely delighted to have been promoted to principal!
