MI-GSO | PCUBED launches third UK presence in Manchester
International consulting firm MI-GSO | PCUBED has launched a new office in Manchester. The hub is the project management firm’s third in the UK.
Established in 2019 the UK through the merger between UK-based Pcubed and France-based MI-GSO, MI-GSO | PCUBED is a global consultancy dedicated to project, program, portfolio, and change management. The firm works with clients across the aeronautics, defence, automotive, transport, and financial services, energy, and government sectors.
With the launch of its latest location in Manchester, the third in the UK alongside London and Bristol, MI-GSO | PCUBED now expands into the North West of England. Globally, the firm now boasts 27 locations around the world.
The launch follows Manchester being named as one of 12 Investment Zones by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt during his March budget – leading to the city being backed with £80 million in funding over five years. The wider North West region – already billed as a thriving technology hub in the UK – will also be in line to share an extra £100 million with Glasgow and the West Midlands, as the UK tries to enhance their statuses as 'globally competitive centres for research and innovation'.
Rob Yates, Northern Hub Lead at MI-GSO | PCUBED, commented on the news, “We want to build a vibrant and connected community. Our people are incredible. Being in Manchester will help us fully leverage the potential of our networks and capabilities. The Levelling Up agenda has translated into a number of significant projects to be delivered within the region and we want to place M|P at the very heart of it.”
Looking ahead, the MI-GSO | PCUBED hub will connect and build upon the firm’s existing networks, while also looking for new connections, partnerships, and talent to join.
Exemplifying this, Manchester hub’s Senior Delivery Manager Liz Bohler is a new hire, having lived in Manchester since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University – and is “passionate about providing opportunities in project management roles to professionals in the North.”
Bohler said, “Many of MI-GSO | PCUBED’s existing public sector and manufacturing clients have a footprint in the North and the company’s presence here will help us grow with them. We are excited about the opportunities the North presents, whether that be new clients or working on landmark programmes. We exist to help programmes succeed and believe in creating enduring partnerships.”
