Gobeyond Partners has set its sights on ambitious growth plans, while announcing a new global head for the firm. Raphael Hegeler brings three decades of experience in technology and consulting to the role.

"I'm delighted to join such a passionate and talented team and lead Gobeyond to help current and future clients achieve great business outcomes,” Hegeler commented. “We want to help organisations harness data and the best of human and technology to transform their CX and deliver game-changing customer journeys."

Operating out of offices in Oxford, Sheffield, Nuremburg, and Paris, Gobeyond Partners is a consultancy with more than 200 employees specialised in customer journey and customer experience services.

Hegeler succeeds the firm’s outgoing CEO, Mark Palmer, who indicated his intention to depart from the business last year, after many successful years at the helm. Palmer expressed his confidence in successor.

"I am delighted to be working with Raphael on the future design of the business, and ensuring a smooth transition for our clients and people,” Palmer noted. “I look forward to watching Gobeyond go from strength to strength under his leadership."

Joining Gobeyond from scale-up 10EQS, where he was the chief commercial officer based out of Singapore, New York, and then Munich, Hegeler’s experience includes leadership roles in sales, marketing, and strategy for Intel and Dell in Europe and Asia. He also spent four years with strategy consultancy McKinsey & Company, latterly serving as an engagement manager, focusing on go-to-market and finance services in the automotive, technology and telecommunications sectors.

Matthieu Bouin, an executive vice president in specialised services with the Webhelp Group (the parent of Gobeond), remarked, "We're thrilled that Raphael has joined us. His impressive expertise in consulting, strategy development, and go-to-market, combined with his strong leadership skills, are perfectly suited to lead Gobeyond in its next exciting chapter of growth."

"I would also like to thank Mark for his leadership, passion, and commitment over the past 15 years at the helm of Gobeyond in its various incarnations. He is leaving a strong legacy that is perfectly poised for the future."

The appointment of Hegeler supports Gobeyond’s growth strategy, which will focus on strengthening its customer experience and customer journey consulting capabilities in existing and new geographies.

Earlier in 2023, this strategy also led to the creation of Gobeyond’s ‘Nudge’ practice, which utilises behavioural science in a bid to help organisations influence customer behaviours.
