Rhys Owen joins Alvarez & Marsal as Managing Director
Alvarez & Marsal has added to its Taxand advisory team with the appointment of Rhys Owen. He joins as a Managing Director in London, to help expand the firm’s fund taxation practice.
Commenting on his decision to join Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), Rhys Owen said, “The team of experienced and talented advisors that A&M has built within the fund structuring space, is a key distinguisher of the firm from its competitors. Owen brings over 13 years of experience within private equity fund taxation to the firm. Over the course of his career, he has structured a number of the largest private equity and infrastructure funds in Europe, as well as working on high profile fund raises across the private credit, real estate and venture capital markets.

Prior to joining A&M, Owen spent four years with EY in London, where he was most recently a Partner. Prior to that, he was at KPMG where he worked for a number of large European and US asset managers and advised on fund launches, carried interest planning and continuation funds for a range of different clients. In addition, Owen has advised on a number of credit funds in relation to the restricting and leveraging of their facilities across Irish, Luxembourg and US-based structures.
