Kevin Brett to lead Interpath’s transaction services wing in Ireland
Interpath Advisory has appointed Kevin Brett as the leader of its Irish transaction services offering. He brings more than a decade of Big Four experience to the role.
Kevin Brett joins Interpath Advisory from KPMG. He spent 12 years with the firm, nine of which came in the firm’s New York office, leading buy-side and sell-side engagements in addition to IPO readiness advisory services for US and international clients. He has also worked on a wide range of buy-side, sell-side and carve out transactions across the TMT, retail, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing industries ranging from mid-market to multi-billion-dollar deal sizes for private equity and corporate clients.
Commenting on the findings, Brett noted, “I am very excited about the opportunity to lead Interpath Advisory’s Transaction Services offering in Ireland. I am particularly looking forward to leveraging the experience I have gained from my time in the US combined with the talented, diverse team at Interpath Advisory in Ireland and the UK to provide a new and differentiated offering in the Irish market.”
Amid rising economic uncertainty, coupled with geopolitical instability in Europe, demand for M&A in Ireland still remains high. Looking ahead, Brett will help Interpath’s clients to complete through complex acquisitions and divestitures, as they implement M&A strategies through the buoyant market of 2023 and beyond.
Mark Degnan, Managing Director in Interpath’s Dublin team, said of the news, “We are delighted to welcome Kevin to our business. His arrival is another significant step forward in building out our multi-disciplinary advisory offering, following on from the arrival of Paul Hough who joined Interpath in January as a Managing Director to lead our Data and Technology Advisory practice in Ireland.”
Having established itself as an independent firm in 2021, Interpath has since launched multiple offices to grow its footprint. In late 2022, this saw the company launch services in Ireland and Northern Ireland – providing services such as restructuring, advisory forensic and investigation, and CFO advisory services. The firm expects to add to this capacity, with a number of new managing directors in the months ahead – and hopes to expand its team to over 65 professionals by the summer of 2023.
Brett’s appointment comes as Interpath unfurls its transaction services offering across Ireland. Degnan stated the rollout was “key” for Interpath, as the firm looks to become “the leading restructuring and advisory business across Ireland and Northern Ireland.”
