David Evans joins Transaction Advisory Group of A&M

Alvarez & Marsal has picked up senior hire David Evans from Deloitte. Evans, in his role as Managing Director and co-European Practice Leader of the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group, will provide clients with a wide range transactions advice on the back of more than 20 years of experience. Evans will in addition join the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group Europe practices’ leadership committee.

David Evans started his career at Arthur Andersen in 1993, working his way into the role of Senior Manager for the firm. Prior to the firm’s collapse Evans led the London Transaction Services practice. In 2003 Evans transferred to Deloitte, where he took on the role of Partner and was responsible for managing the US operations of major UK listed clients. In 2006 he took on a Partner role within Deloitte’s Transaction Services practice, focused on cross border M&A for TMT clients. Four years later he became a Senior Partner within Deloitte UK, leading the firm’s London Transaction Services team. In the role he lead a team of more than 200 staff in, among others, the provision of buy side and sell side due diligence to Private Equity and Corporate clients. Over the past four months Evans was briefly an Adviser at Buckthorn Partners.

Evans’ recent appointment at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) will see him take up the role of Managing Director and co-European Practice Leader of the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group. Evans is set to leverage his more than 20 years of experience in transaction services as he focuses primarily on buy side and sell side due diligence for private equity and large corporates. Additionally, the role will see him join the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group Europe practices’ leadership committee, which includes Managing Directors Adrian Balcombe, Age Lindenbergh and Juergen Zapf, who are respectively based in the UK, Netherlands and Germany. The committee is tasked with growing the practice further through the establishment of new clients as well as developing and hiring promising talent. In 2015
