Trio of UK partners promoted at Valcon
Technology consultancy Valcon has announced a raft of promotions across its international operations. More than 150 people were promoted across the Netherlands, the Nordics and the UK – including new partners Kelly Archer, Dean Shepherd and Stuart McDonald.
Valcon is a European consulting, technology and data company based across the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, Sweden, Germany and Croatia. Its 1,500 professionals have expertise in connecting the critical links between strategy and operations with innovative technologies and data.
The firm has been growing rapidly over the last year in particular. Late in 2022, a string of large-scale acquisitions were complemented by the appointment of more than 100 new staff. As the company looks to maintain that momentum through 2023, it has announced the promotion of over 150 of its global headcount.
The Netherlands promoted 109 people, while the Nordics awarded 18 of its workforce with an uplift in job status and salary. In the UK, there were 24 promotions – including three of the company’s nine new partner elevations.
Commenting on the news, Geert van den Goor, Group CEO of Valcon, said, “Our people are the lifeblood of our organisation and staff development is a key focus for us. We listen to our people’s ambitions and put the right steps in place to help them achieve their goals. These promotions are all thoroughly well-deserved and are representative of excellent work from our consultants, technologists and data experts. Recognising their achievements is vital, as their success underpins Valcon’s success as a business. Ultimately, we are striving to create the happiest community of consultants.”
Kelly Archer becomes a Partner with Valcon, having joined six months previously. She became a part of the global Valcon community following the firm’s purchase of P2 – where she was a Director, and Head of Public Sector.
Dean Shepherd also becomes a Partner in Valcon’s London office, having shifted across as part of the P2 deal. He was previously a Client Solutions Manager for the acquired firm.
Stuart McDonald meanwhile takes on the role of Partner having spent four years with the firm. He was most recently Valcon’s Director of UK Government and Policing, and previously spent two years at IBM, where he was a Senior Consultant.
Writing on his personal LinkedIn, McDonald commented, “What a start to 2023, I’m happy to share that I've been promoted to Partner at Valcon! I also want to congratulate all my other Valcon colleagues who have been promoted this year, well done you certainly deserve it and here is to a great 2023!”
