More than 100 new joiners arrive at Valcon
Technology consultancy Valcon has committed to a hiring spree that has brought on board more than 100 staff. The move further increases the firm’s stature across Europe, following a string of large-scale acquisitions in the last 12 months.
Valcon is a north-west European consulting, technology and data company based across the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, Sweden, Germany and Croatia. Its 1,500 professionals have expertise in connecting the critical links between strategy and operations with innovative technologies and data.
Speaking on the firm’s boost to its headcount, Geert van den Goor, Group CEO, said, “This significant recruitment drive is representative of our amazing growth at Valcon as the business enjoys incredible expansion across all geographies and practice areas. Our ability to provide this cross-capability solution of consulting, technology and data means we have a very compelling offering for our clients, which perfectly meets their transformation needs.”
In the UK, there were 25 new joiners across consultancy, data and technology – 20 of whom were Valcon Academy starters. The Valcon Academy is the training and apprenticeship arm of the Valcon talent team, and offers two years of training across the three different capability areas, with full time positions being offered to graduates of the scheme.
“Finding the right people to deliver these transformation programmes is critical,” added Van den Goor. “We’re particularly proud of our Academy, which trains school and university leavers and those who have chosen to retrain, as a consultant or a data or technology specialist. We’d like to offer a heartfelt welcome to all our new employees and look forward to you being part of the Valcon family.”
Further hires occurred across the Netherlands and Nordics over the last three months. In the Netherlands, Valcon welcomed 40 new joiners, split across the three different capabilities. New consultancy roles included business analysts, project managers and testing and quality assurance professionals. Meanwhile, 15 people arrived in the Nordics, again in consultancy and technology – where they took up roles such as enterprise architects, developers and UX/ UI experts, as well as in the data team.
Valcon works with clients across the spectrum, from small companies through to multinational organisations. Backed by private equity firm Waterland, as well as recruitment campaigns, it has deployed acquisition activity to meet those multifaceted demands. In the last year, it has integrated First Consulting, Viqtor Davis, and P2 Consulting into its European offering alone.
