Vendigital becomes part of Siemens Advanta
Technology giant Siemens is set to acquire London-based consultancy, Vendigital, for an undisclosed fee. Made via strategic business unit Siemens Advanta, the investment in the UK company aims to further support Siemens’ industrial customers with digital and strategic consulting services.
Headquartered in London, with additional offices in Hong Kong and Chicago, Vendigital is a technology consulting firm which provides bespoke solutions which streamline data collection and analysis to produce actionable insights. Thanks to its broad expertise in the field, the firm has enjoyed bullish growth, and industry plaudits. The acclaimed consultancy has won multiple industry awards – most recently including seeing member Julie Neal triumph in the Experienced Leader Award category at the 2022 MCA Awards.
At the same time, Vendigital has sought to expand its capacity further by bringing in investment in recent years. In 2019, Vendigital received funding from private equity firm Livingbridge, using the move to back acquisition and headcount additions.
As Vendigital looks to kick on from this growth, it has attracted new investment from the professional services business unit of Siemens. Following a deal with Siemens Advanta, Vendigital will become part of the technology giant’s advisory wing, complementing Siemens Advanta’s digital and strategic consulting service capabilities for industrial customers.
Roy Williams, CEO of Vendigital, stated, “We are delighted to be part of Siemens Advanta and are excited at the prospect of leading in the UK market as part of this very strong global brand. This will accelerate our growth, enhance the services we provide to clients and provide excellent career opportunities for our employees.”
The company’s 100 employees will continue to serve blue chip clients, applying expertise in data-led cost transformation, with a focus on supply chain management, procurement, cost and value engineering and operating strategy. The move meanwhile expands Siemens Advanta’s footprint in the UK – helping it better address the high demand for management consulting of existing customers and prospects in the UK and Ireland. Siemens Advanta combines more than 10,000 employees into a global network of cross-functional teams and highly skilled experts.
Aymeric Sarrazin, CEO of Siemens Advanta, commented, “We are excited to welcome Vendigital to our growing Siemens Advanta business. By combining our expertise and capabilities, we can provide even more value to our clients along their value chain, while fostering our business at scale in the UK.”
The news sees Livingbridge exit Vendigital, having realised significant organic growth during its tenure. Since April 2020, Vendigital has tripled its increases per annum in the number of client wins delivering a 60% uplift in revenue.
Speaking on the exit, Robyn Smith at Livingbridge, said, “During our time with the firm, Vendigital has become a market leading digitally enabled consultancy which is strategically positioned for continued long term growth aligned to the cost and supply chain issues that are currently challenging nearly all sectors. We wish the team every success in their next endeavour.”
