Kantar Public appoints Mark Hinton-Jones as CFO
As it continues to strengthen for independent life, Kantar Public has installed Martin Hinton-Jones as Global Chief Financial Officer. He brings more than two decades of experience to the role.
Speaking of the appointment, Kantar Public’s Global CEO Michelle Harrison, said, “Mark has an exceptional track record of delivering sustainable and impressive results and his skills and expertise will be a great asset to the business through our next phase of strategic development. His relentless focus on how we can best serve our clients globally and locally is outstanding, and he will be a tremendous addition to the Global Board.
Kantar Public commenced life as an independent consultancy earlier in 2022, following a management buyout. The company now employs more than 700 people in over 20 countries, and is working to deliver on its next phase of international, purpose-based growth – something the appointment will play an important role in realising. In his role as Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Hinton-Jones will be responsible for ensuring that Kantar Public’s finance function is a key driver for its strategic growth around the world.
Hinton-Jones brings 20 years of experience in professional services. He joins from VMLY&R Health, where he most recently held the position of Global Chief Operating Officer (COO), and was responsible for operational and financial strategy and effectiveness as well as implementing global solutions to drive growth. He has also worked in various senior positions including as COO, CFO and Managing Director, including in WPP and in Kantar. Most recently at VMLY&R Health he was.

The appointment follows other key appointments at Kantar Public, including the naming of a new Global Chief People Officer. Zarina Ward joined the firm at the end of October 2022, as it sought to strengthen its capabilities by ramping up its headcount. Late in November, Kantar Public also named Ed Dunn as the Senior Director in Population Studies of its British wing.
