International management consultancy Oliver Wyman has named Lisa Quest as its new Head of UK and Ireland. She will assume the position from the start of 2023, leading the firm’s businesses in the region while also co-heading Oliver Wyman’s public sector practice across Europe.

Christian Edelmann, Managing Partner, Europe, commented, “Lisa’s breadth of experience not only managing commercially complex engagements and being at the intersection of the public and private sectors, but also championing diverse teams makes the ideal candidate to head up the UK and oversee Ireland. I have full conviction that Lisa will continue to grow the business at a crucial time for the global economy, drawing on various skills and experience to achieve breakthroughs.”

Quest takes on the role from David Gillespie, who has held the role since 2019. Report to Edelmann, Quest will now lead the firm’s UK and Ireland businesses, as Oliver Wyman looks to help clients navigate challenging economic times – where the need for sound, data-driven advice is crucial.

“As a hub for national and globally significant work, the UK and Ireland are key for the growth of Oliver Wyman,” Quest said. “As the premier firm for data-driven strategy, I’m looking forward to working closely with our teams to serve our clients and communities. I look forward to taking on the mantle as we enter a period of rapid economic change.”

As a Senior Partner and a member of the European Leadership team, Quest specialises in advising senior civil servants and policymakers on data-driven transformational change. Her experience spans numerous industries, particularly in capital markets, private equity and the public sector, including financial and digital economy regulation – and she will continue to co-head the firm’s European public sector practice, in addition to her new responsibilities.

Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, with offices in more than 70 cities across 30 countries, and some 6,000 professionals around the world who work with clients to optimise their business. To help it meet this demand earlier in 2022, Oliver Wyman announced the promotion of 16 partners across its UK wing – and promoted almost 80 individuals across its international partnership to close out 2022.
