Werner Luüs joins HKA as Director
Werner Luüs has returned to the European Quantum team of global risk and infrastructure consultancy HKA. He will be based out of HKA’s London office, having previously spent three years with the firm.
With more than 17 years of experience, Werner Luüs is a chartered quantity surveyor. Over his career, he has worked for contractors, dispute resolution consultancy firms, and professional quantity surveying firms on a wide range of projects in the buildings, infrastructure, resources, power and utilities, and ship building sectors in the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia regions.
Previously, Luüs spent three years in HKA’s London wing, after the firm purchased the construction claims group of Hill International – where he was already an Associate Director. Leaving in 2019, Luüs then spent two years as a Director for NSQI Quantity Surveying and Project Services, before a brief stint with professional services firm Kroll earlier in 2022.
Now, Werner returns to HKA as a Director, and will work in its Quantum team to help prepare expert reports on disputes faced by clients. Specialising in quantity surveying, commercial management, expert witness and advisory services, he has extensive experience working with project teams on live projects
Werner has also worked as lead support to quantum and delay experts during proceedings of complex, high-value disputes in international arbitration. His range of project experience, some which exceed US$1 billion in value, includes major infrastructure schemes (an airport, and rail systems), healthcare facilities, a nuclear power plant, onshore and subsea oil and gas systems, and ship building.
Emyr Evans, Partner at HKA, commented, “I’m delighted to welcome Werner as a Director in the Quantum team. We look forward to working with Werner again on large infrastructure and offshore projects. Together with all colleagues, Werner will play an active role in our exciting future growth plans at HKA.”
