Business advisory firm ReSolve has appointed Larry Jobsz as a new Partner. Working in the firm’s restructuring and investment practice wing, Jobsz brings more than three decades of experience on board.

With dark clouds gathering above the UK economy, restructuring is one of the few areas of business still to be thriving. With a spike in corporate turnaround projects and administrations set to continue well into 2023, as inflation and debt repayments push companies into financial distress, many professional services firms are increasingly depending on their restructuring arms for new business in the coming months.

As ReSolve looks to tap into keen demand for restructuring consultants across the UK, the firm has welcomed Larry Jobsz to its partnership. Having spent over 30 years in corporate recovery, his extensive skillset and experience will help ReSolve as it expands its services at a critical time for SME’s facing a flurry of headwinds.

Cameron Gunn, ReSolve Senior Partner, said of the news, “We are thrilled that Larry has joined the ReSolve team, armed with an array of skills across forensic and investigative work as well as unparalleled expertise in sector-specific areas including insurance and aviation.”

The industry veteran spent the majority of his career with Buchler Philips – joining the firm in 1994. His most recent role there was as Managing Partner, seeing him lead significant assignments for a diverse mix of clients and enjoyed huge success working with troubled companies.

Prior to that, Jobsz commenced his professional services career at Deloitte in 1989. There, he worked on several insolvency projects in the airline industry, including the liquidation of Laker Airways – a case which saw him take responsibility for compiling the statutory closure for the Laker Airways Group of companies. At the same time, the intervening years have also seen Jobsz work as an Associate Member of R3, the trade association for corporate rescue, recovery and restructuring workers in Britain.

Speaking on his latest challenge, Jobsz noted, “After several years working directly with a large and diverse mix of UK enterprises, I am pleased to be joining ReSolve and focusing my efforts towards the wide range of SME businesses which form the backbone of the UK economy. I look forward to working with the highly skilled team at ReSolve to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
