As Interpath Advisory looks to boost its new regulatory advisory offering, it has appointed two new Managing Directors. Federica Taccogna and Nigel Webb join the firm alongside new Director, David Tull.

Federica Taccogna arrives at Interpath from FTI Consulting, where she built and led a team of regulatory experts who assess and investigate financial crime concerns on behalf of regulators and enforcement agencies globally. Recently this saw her lead numerous large-scale investigations on behalf of regulators in Europe and the US. This included a dual-track (criminal and regulatory) investigation into a major universal bank that revealed the facilitation of significant terror-related activity.

Nigel Webb also joins from FTI, where he was most recently the firm’s EMEA Financial Services leader. The scope of his practice included sanctions, investigations, regulatory affairs, and the provision of expert support to the legal profession. A former Partner at both Andersen and Deloitte, his varied 35-year career has also included being Global COO at Interdealer Broker ICAP and later, Head of Global Derivative Services for JP Morgan.

As managing directors, Federica and Nigel will specifically lead Interpath’s new regulatory advisory practice, within the firm’s growing forensics wing. This will see them advising both organisations and regulators on matters of conduct, with a focus on sectors including gambling, online gaming, crypto and the payments sector.

Blair Nimmo, Chief Executive Officer of Interpath Advisory, said, “These arrivals represent another exciting milestone in the growth and development of our business. Moreover, we believe this significant investment makes a real statement of intent, demonstrating to the market the strength of our ambition in this space.”

David Tull meanwhile joins Interpath’s forensic team as a Director. Having most recently worked on behalf of Berkeley Research Group, he brings more than 15 years of experience across forensic accounting engagements, internal and regulatory investigations and second line of defence assurance. He has also held leadership roles with the Financial Conduct Authority, and previously spent several years within the FCA’s enforcement division, working on multiple investigations considering senior management accountability.

Interpath’s expanding forensic practice is led by Managing Director Dominic Wreford. The senior forensic specialist joined the business from Duff & Phelps in September 2021, with a mandate to build and develop Interpath’s disputes, investigations and forensic technology service lines.

Wreford commented, “Federica, Nigel and David bring with them deep experience in assisting clients and regulators from around the world on a wide range of issues, including matters of conduct such as market abuse, governance and regulatory frameworks. Their international focus will see them expand Interpath’s capabilities overseas, as well as boosting the firm’s work in fields such as gambling, online gaming, crypto and the payments sector.”
