Jim Holtzclaw joins Marsh Risk Consulting as Senior VP
Jim Holtzclaw has joined the Cyber Security Consulting and Advisory Services practice at Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) as Senior Vice-President. He brings more than 34 years of professional experience to the consultancy, and will be charged with providing the firm’s offerings to its private and public client base.
Prior to joining Marsh, Jim Holtzclaw was a Managing Partner & General Manager at Waverley Labs for ten months. In this role he oversaw the company’s introduction of its digital risk management (DRM) to the Federal Government. Between 2014 and March 2015, Holtzclaw worked as a General Manager for CyberPoint International, seeking to improve and streamline operations, strategy, and execution of its Federal Programs. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2014, he was the Vice-President in charge of the Enterprise Security & Infrastructure Solutions Business Unit at CRGT, and between 2009 and 2012, he acted as a Principal in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Cyber Operations. Between 2002 and 2009, Holtzclaw worked for Northrop Grumman Information Technology in a variety of functions, including different Director and Manager roles, after having worked for the US Army in various positions from 1988 onwards. Roles at the Army included Executive Officer, Chief Command Control, Communications & Computers, Chief Information Operations Division, and Director of the Army Computer Emergency Response Team.
Holtzclaw holds a BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science from Columbus State University, an MSc in Operations Research Systems Analysis (ORSA) from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters Certificate in Programme Management from The George Washington University. In addition, he completed the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Communications and Electronics Engineering at the US Army Signal School, and obtained the CIO & IA Certification, Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Information Assurance Program from the National Defence University and a Certificate in Northrop Grumman: Creating the Future from the University of Virginia - Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
Holtzclaw will bring his more than 34 years of experience, 21 years of which for the US military, to his new job at Marsh. He joins as Senior Vice-President of Cyber Security Consulting and Advisory Services at Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC). In his new role he will work with the MRC team to implement the firm’s cyber security consulting strategy, capabilities, and services in North America and support international client projects.
