BDO installs Rida Rahmani as Partner in audit
Rida Rahmani has joined BDO as a new Partner in the firm’s audit wing. Paul Eagland said the move was “a key part of our ongoing investment in our audit capabilities and resources.”
BDO Managing Partner Eagland went on, “As the profession continues to go through a historic period of reform, we remain committed to providing the highest level of quality audits for both UK and global businesses. Rida’s experience of working with clients but also her desire to support the development and wellbeing of the people in her team makes her a fantastic fit with BDO’s culture.”
Since the start of this year BDO has appointed 13 new external partners. The firm recently announced that Anna Draper and Kaley Crossthwaite will join BDO’s leadership team in the summer of 2022. Rida Rahmani adds yet another expert to the firm’s hiring spree.
Arriving as a Partner in its international audit team, Rahmani brings up more than 15 years of experience in the sector. Rahmani was most recently with Big Four firm EY, working primarily with commodities trading clients – something which will have given her invaluable insights into working closely with large multinationals as they navigate the statutory audit services for their global subsidiaries.
Audit clients of BDO are presently facing a myriad of challenges, including the complex regulatory requirements of trading internationally, global supply-chain disruption and geo-political uncertainty. Rahmani said that this meant it had “never been more important for businesses to be able to access high quality expertise to support them.”
Looking ahead, Rahmani, who joins BDO’s London office, noted, “I am thrilled to be able to add value to BDO’s clients with my international audit expertise. I’m also looking forward to getting to know the team, including coaching and mentoring colleagues who are looking to develop themselves and their careers within the firm.”
