Payments giant Stripe names Be a consulting partner
Global payments provider Stripe has admitted Be | Shaping the Future into its newly launched partner ecosystem.
The move sees the European financial services consultancy become a trusted consulting and implementation partner of Stripe’s platform and solutions.
With over 100,000+ businesses and over 3 million active websites using Stripe, the US-headquartered company – which is currently valued at around $90 billion (making it the globe’s sixth largest unicorn) – is one of the world’s leading financial infrastructure platforms.
In a bid to provide businesses with a seamless transition to the Stripe infrastructure, last week Stripe launched its own partner ecosystem. In similar fashion to fellow software vendors SAP, Oracle or Salesforce, the partner ecosystem provides Stripe users with a vetted list of consulting firms and technology companies that are leaders in the payments space and have an established track record with Stripe-related work.
“The launch of the Stripe Partner Ecosystem makes it easier for companies to find the right partner for their needs,” explained Dorothy Copeland, Vice President of Global Partnerships and Alliances at Stripe.
Joining the list of around 100 consulting partners worldwide is Be, a management and technology consulting business with around 1,800 employees located in 12 countries across Europe. The alliance is led from the firm’s UK office.
“By partnering with Be and introducing a comprehensive set of partner resources, companies around the world will be able to accelerate their move to online commerce more easily,” said Copeland.
Conchur Gill, a partner at Be in its London office, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Stripe as a consulting partner. Our joint go-to-market propositions promise to deliver significant value to our mutual clients. There are four key propositions we have developed with Stripe: risk management, virtual credit card issuance, Stripe terminal and finance in a box [i.e. providing businesses with a fully formed finance function].”
In its work with Stripe users, Be will leverage its longstanding heritage in the payments scene. “We provide strategy and delivery consulting services across the entire payments ecosystem with an emphasis on issuers, acquirers, PSPs and facilitators, international and domestic cards schemes, processors, and private equity firms,” explained Gill.
The launch of the Stripe partner ecosystem comes at a time of surging demand for payments solutions, and in its slipstream demand for third-party technology and payments expertise. Other consulting partners of Stripe include the likes of Accenture, IBM, Merkle, and Slalom.
In April, Stripe teamed up with McKinsey & Company, as well as Alphabet, Shopify and Meta, to co-launch Frontier – a $900-backed venture focused on developing carbon removal investments.
