Jon Goulding co-leads Alvarez & Marsal US West Region
Jon Goulding has been promoted to co-lead the Alvarez & Marsal US West Region with current leader Bill Kosturos. Goulding has been with the company since 2002, and brings more than 18 years of professional services experience to the role.
Jon Goulding started his career in 1997 as an Analyst at SRI Consulting, a role he held for two years, before becoming a consultant for the firm in 1999. Following a stint as a Business Strategist for Viant Corporation in 2000, Goulding joined Arthur Andersen as an Associate in 2001. In 2002, Goulding moved to Alvarez & Marsal where he took on the role of Senior Associate, holding the position until 2005, when he was promoted to Director. Three years later Goulding was again promoted, this time to Senior Director. In 2012 he took on the role of Managing Director.
Goulding holds a B.S.E in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
During his time with Alvarez & Marsal, Goulding has worked across a range of industries, including retail, energy, technology, transportation and logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, telecommunications and financial services. His service has seen him assist clients in the relevant industries with the preparation of preparing business plans, analysing product profitability, assessing cash flow and liquidity, and developing restructuring and reorganisation strategies. His work has been, according to the consulting firm, instrumental in the establishment of the company in the US West Region.
In his new role, as Co-Head of the North American Commercial Restructuring Practice West Region, he will leverage his more than 18 years of experience within the consulting industry to lead the company to further successes within the US West region. Bill Kosturos, the current Head of the firm’s North American Commercial Restructuring Practice for the West Region, remarks that “His contribution to A&M over the past decade equips the West Region with a leader who understands a wide spectrum of client needs.” Kosturos will continue to co-lead the region with Goulding.
