Gary Anthony and Shari Breuer join Huron Healthcare
Huron Consulting has strengthened its healthcare practice with the appointment of Gary Anthony and Shari Breuer as managing directors. The new additions will allow the firm to better serve its clients with innovative healthcare solutions.

He joins with more than 30 years of experience in health information technology, most recently gained while working for insurance company Aetna as Head of Enablement Services. Prior to joining Aetna in 2012, Anthony worked for KPMG’s Health Care Advisory Services as a Partner for just over a year. Between 2005 and 2011, he was employed by CSC, first as Partner in the firm’s Global Healthcare Solutions, after which he became Vice-President of Health Delivery Services, to finally be promoted to Partner in the consulting practice in 2008. Prior work experience include Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Galvanon, and Vice-President roles at HEALTHvision, Cerner Corporation and Oacis Health Care. Anthony holds a Bachelor degree of Science in Business Administration in Economics and Finance.
Shari Breuer, who joins from the Centre for Diagnostic Imaging, has been appointed as Managing Director in Huron Healthcare’s Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) solution. Breuer holds a Master of Healthcare Administration.
Reflecting on the two new hires, Gordon Mountford, Executive Vice-President of Huron Healthcare, says: “As the healthcare industry slowly implements population health management and transitions to value-based payments, healthcare organisations take on the challenging task of improving quality of care and patient satisfaction at a lower cost or while reducing costs. Gary and Shari have extensive knowledge of the challenges our clients are facing and will assist them in developing innovative solutions.”
Anthony and Breuer are the second and third Managing Director addition to Huron’s Healthcare team in a short period of time. Last month, the firm also added Cynthia Kilroy to its team. Other recent hires include Debbie Murphy who joined to serve as Chief Marketing Officer, and Monty Kehl and Tim Martin, both named Managing Director in the Business Advisory practice.
