BJSS announces expansion push to create 250 UK jobs

BJSS has announced its latest expansion drive which will see the IT consultancy invest in eight new locations across the UK. The move will create more than 200 jobs – all outside of London.

Founded in 1993, BJSS is headquartered in Leeds, with offices across the UK, the EU, the US and Australia. In recent years, the firm has been looking to rapidly grow its headcount, while creating important technology jobs across the UK.

In 2020, with youth unemployment on the rise, BJSS declared it would fill 80 new roles in its Academy. Then, earlier in 2021, the firm sought to kick on by recruiting more than 200 people across all disciplines, including the existing engineering stream.

Now, BJSS has announced a further push to ramp up its workforce, with plans to add 250 roles across its technology, engineering and consulting service lines. Bolstered by strong growth and client demand, BJSS is set to make greenfield investments in traditional metropolitan centres such as Liverpool, Aberdeen and Swansea, while the expansion also includes opening secondary commuter locations such as Lincoln and York. Other locations include Exeter, Reading and Milton Keynes.

The jobs to support these new BJSS locations will tap into the creative IT talent available in those local areas, while also contributing to the delivery of technology, engineering and consulting services to BJSS’ global client base. BJSS will also introduce its BJSS Academy learning and development infrastructure to these locations in the future, providing fresh opportunities to local school leavers, apprentices, university graduates, and people retraining or returning to work.
