EY-Parthenon has announced the appointment of Olga Bandini to its transaction strategy and execution team. She brings more than 16 years of management consulting and deal advisory expertise to the firm.

Rob Doepel, Markets Leader for EY's UK and Ireland energy businesscommented, “Olga’s cross-sector background and energy leadership experience mean that she is ideally placed to advise on complex issues that impact M&A transactions, in a market that is undergoing fundamental structural change as we decarbonise and digitise the energy market.”

EY-Parthenon is Big Four firm EY’s global strategy consulting arm. Amid boosts in demand across a number of its service lines, the firm has been ramping up its headcount in recent months. For example, in September, EY-Parthenon announced the arrival of Partner Anu Bhambi, taking its tally of experts who focus on the energy sector to more than 90 partners.

Olga Bandini arrives within the transaction strategy and executive wing of the energy team. Taking up the position of Director, she will assist clients in the energy sector with merger and acquisition activity, helping them unlock and maximise value through the stages of deal analysis, programme design and execution.

As energy players seek to rationalise their portfolio and respond to the opportunities and challenges created by energy transition, this is work that EY-Parthenon is enjoying heightened demand for. The firm’s transaction strategy and execution experts help clients across the whole deal life cycle, guiding them from divestment strategies, through to the planning, diligence, and integration or separation phases of a transaction to help build long-term value.

Bandini noted, “I’m excited to join the market leading team at EY-Parthenon and am looking forward to working closely with our clients to deliver deal value and help them navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by energy transition.”

During her 16 years in consulting, Bandini acquired much of her advisory experience in the energy sector within Big Four firms, both in the UK and globally. A former Executive Producer with the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Bandini joined Deloitte as a Senior Consultant in 2006, before an 11-year spell with KPMG saw her rise to the rank of Director, Integration and Separation Advisory, Transaction Services. During those engagements, she has advised on some of the largest and most complex integration and separation transactions in the energy sector in the last decade, from buy-side to sell-side and joint venture creation.
