Dutch consultancy LeadingMile expands into the UK
Boutique consultancy LeadingMile has announced its arrival in the UK, with the launch of a London locale.
Originating in the Netherlands, LeadingMile Consulting specialises in the implementation of IT solutions in the alternative investment sector, as well as at asset managers in the wider financial services industry including banks, pension institutions, insurers, and wealth managers.
The firm's consultants oversee the end-to-end implementation process, and bring deep technology and data knowledge (and solution partnerships) to the table.
Martijn Voorhaar, who founded the firm in 2017 explained, “LeadingMile aims to bring cutting edge technology to a traditional niche, an ambition where, similar to the alternative investment market itself, there is a need to expand while driving down costs.”
“We have operated at the front line from that perspective from the moment we launched, providing cost saving niche solutions and enabling clients to fulfil their ambitions.”
This approach has seen LeadingMile grow by 80% year-on-year over the last four years in the Netherlands, and building on this, the firm has set it sights on going international.
“We are taking a big step entering the post-Brexit UK market. We do so with great confidence, seeing how the UK is leading the way towards a post-Covid-19 society. We believe our timing is therefore right as we aim to expand our business further,” said Voorhaar.
Taking the UK reins
Leading the charge in the UK is Lloyd Dean, who brings more than 20 years of experience in management positions and with implementing technology across the asset management arena.
Dean most recently was Director of Implementations EMEA at Charles River, where he led a 30-strong team of implementation consultants and project managers. Before that, he held the role of Head of Professional Services at Milestone Group and BlackRock-owned eFront.
As the new UK Country Director, Dean will focus on establishing the firm's base, building a client network and setting up and maintaining projects throughout the UK and Channel Islands.
