Thomas Arlit & Cosimo de Carlo co-CEO Altran Germany

Global engineering and consulting firm Altran has appointed two join new CEO’s in Germany. Thomas Arlit joins from an external firm while Cosimo de Carlo has been promoted from internal ranks.

Thomas Arlit (47) will mainly focus on managing the German operations for the Aerospace and Defence (ASD) Industry, along with Finance, Human Resources, Quality and IT. He reports to Michael Blickle, Altran’s Executive Vice-President for Northern Europe. Prior to his appointment, Arlit was Chief Financial Officer of Körber Process Solutions. He graduated from the Georg-August University of Göttingen in 1992, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Cosimo de Carlo and Thomas Arlit

Arlit will manage the German country organization together with Cosimo de Carlo (41), who has been appointed co-CEO. De Carlo previously worked as Group Vice-President Automotive, Infrastructure & Transportation (AIT) for Altran. His main task will be to manage several industries/practices, including Automotive, Infrastructure & Transportation (AIT); Energy, Industry & Life Sciences (EILiS); Telecoms, and Communications, Marketing and Programs & Innovation. Arlit, who graduated from the University “La Sapienza” of Roma in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, will also report to Michael Blickle.
