A month after securing a “significant growth capital” from financial sponsor Accel-KKR, Kimble has installed a 10-person Advisory Board including two heavyweights from the consulting industry

The goal of the new Advisory Board is two-fold: to provide a senior platform that can help Kimble shape its future direction and product developments, and to provide Kimble users a podium where they can exchange lessons and automation trends at a strategic level, explained Peter Fitzpatrick, Kimble’s Chief Adoption Officer.

“Being one of Kimble’s larger customers, we wanted to be able to influence the future roadmap of enhancements that were specific to companies like ours,” said AJ Keval, Senior Director Digital Infrastructure at Hitachi Vantara Global. Stephan Dusold, CIO at GFT Technologies added, “I believe it is an excellent idea to understand client needs and business views first-hand and consider them in the product – for the benefit of clients and product alike.”

Meanwhile, the Board (which will meet quarterly and is facilitated by Kimble executives) provides participants with “an opportunity to collaborate and learn from peers at other organisations who are also utilising Kimble,” said Brian Mizelle, a Senior Director at Synopsys.

Founding members of the Advisory Board include two executives at leading management consulting firms: Alberto Ruocco, the CIO of West Monroe (a 1,500-strong US consultancy); and Greg Smith, a UK-based Partner at Arthur D. Little (a global strategic consulting firm and the world’s oldest consultancy on record).

The inaugural Advisory Board meeting recently took place, and saw contributions from some of Kimble’s top leaders, including the CEO (Sean Hoban), CFO (Steve Sharp) and CSO (Sarah Edwards).

Founded in 2010, Kimble is a provider of ERP solutions for project-based businesses. The firm’s professional services automation (PSA) platform is used by 100+ management consulting firms around the world.
