Property consultancy Cluttons has hired Robert Burke to head its project management and building consultancy teams. The move is the latest in a raft of recent senior appointments that strengthen its multi-disciplinary service offering.

Commenting on his new role, Robert Burke said, “I’m delighted to be joining Cluttons at such an exciting time for the business. They are one of the few property consultancies that truly embrace the multi-disciplinary team working ethos required to help client clients realise opportunity and manage risk throughout the property lifecycle.”

Burke brings a strong track record across all client sectors and property types to Cluttons. He specialises in technical due diligence, dilapidations, and development monitoring as well as employer’s agent, contract administration and project management.

The new Head of Project and Building Consultancy joins Cluttons from Lambert Smith Hampton where he was Head of Building Consultancy for five years. This saw him oversee a team involved in all aspects of building surveying and consultancy, advising a wide range of investor and occupier clients through the whole property cycle. Prior to that, he also led the London commercial surveying team at Watts Group, where he spent 15 years. He was also appointed to the firm’s Operational Management Board.

Managing Partner at Cluttons James Gray said, “Robert’s proven track record and leadership experience will be key to helping our clients to create and protect value from their property assets through rapidly changing market conditions. I also look forward to working with Rob and his team to develop new services to help the property industry to rise to the net zero challenge.”

Burke’s arrival follows a number of key appointments at Cluttons in the last two years. Steve Cooper became Head of Transactional and Development Consultancy from BNP Paribas Real Estate in late 2019, while since then Jonathan Rhodes also arrived as Head of Valuation from GL Hearn, Raoul Veevers was named Head of Planning from Montagu Evans, and Charlie Ardern and Ryan Jones each joined as Partners from Avison Young in Manchester.

Employing over 240 staff, Cluttons has a growing international presence, serving a wide range of corporate clients in over 50 countries across Europe. The firm partners corporates, developers and private investors across the region to supply portfolio management, funding advice, land sale work, property valuation and home letting, among other services.
