Kate Donaldson joins Bain & Company's private equity practice
Bain & Company has strengthened its private equity team in the UK with the addition of Kate Donaldson.
Based in London, Kate Donaldson brings more than three decades of experience to the global strategy consulting firm, including over a decade in the consulting industry.
Prior to joining Bain & Company, Donaldson was a partner and managing director at Alvarez & Marsal where she was the practice lead for commercial transformation. She managed commercial operations due diligence and commercial excellence for private equity clients as well as commercial transformation projects in the corporate space.
Previously, she was a Senior Director at AlixPartners and a Managing Director at Blue Ridge Partners, a boutique US consultancy focused on growth with a strong track record in the private equity space. Prior to consulting, Donaldson served as an operating partner at a private equity firm.
At Bain, she will lead the firm’s commercial excellence work with private equity portfolio companies spanning topics such as sales strategy, salesforce effectiveness and transformation, go-to-market improvement, sales incentive assessment and redesign, B2B salesforce mobilisation as well as the associated change management challenges.
Mark Kovac, the global head of Bain & Company’s B2B Commercial Excellence team said. “Kate brings tremendous experience and will provide pragmatic, action-oriented recommendations on how companies can change the way they think about and execute their commercial effectiveness strategies to retool and emerge stronger from these turbulent times.”
Earlier this year, Bain appointed eight new partners in its UK office: Rajesh Narayan, James Langman, Ori Raveh, Alden Skidd, Graeme Jeffery, Nishma Gosrani, Jeff Tijssen and Emeric Karacsonyi (expert partner).
