Christian Ebner joins A&M's Financial Restructuring practice
Deloitte partner Christian Ebner has joined rival Alvarez & Marsal as a Managing Director in London.
Appointed a Managing Director in the Financial Restructuring practice of Alvarez & Marsal, Christian Ebner has been tasked with expanding the firm’s financial restructuring and debt advisory footprint in the German and Italian markets. He will lead the work from London, and work closely together with Alvarez & Marsal’s local teams.
Ebner previously spent seven years with Deloitte’s Restructuring Advisory team in London, serving most recently as Partner. At the Big Four firm, he built a leading cross-border advisory practice working on some of the highest-profile German and Italian financial restructurings in recent years, including the 2019 restructuring of Galapagos, the 2017 recapitalisation and 2020 restructuring and debt-equity swap of Bartec, and the 2018 recapitalisation of Italian tyre manufacturer Prometheon.
Prior to Deloitte, Ebner spent more than six years with Rothschild, where he worked on the acquisitions, restructuring and debt advisory teams and advised on landmark restructurings such as Autodistribution (the first French pre-pack ‘sauvegarde’), McCarthy and Stone and the debt/equity swap of Gala Coral.
