Robert Fedder leads technology practice of Buchler Phillips
Robert Fedder has joined Buchler Phillips as Head of Technology. He arrives having held senior roles with the likes of KPMG, PA Consulting and Kearney.
Welcoming Fedder to Buchler Phillips, the firm’s co-founder and Chairman, David Buchler, said, “Robert has added tremendous value to a number of the firm’s clients over the years and I am delighted that we will now be working more closely with him. His deep experience of operational issues, technology solutions and complex turnarounds around the world will be hugely beneficial to Buchler Phillips as we continue to expand amid significant demand for our services in today’s challenging environment for businesses, large and small.”
Bringing 30 years of experience in performance improvement and business development to the firm, Fedder specialises in corporate turnaround. He has a particular interest in using technology at the core of efficient structures and processes to enhance revenues and cash generation. He has lived and worked extensively in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, the US, Australia, India and Japan on both domestic and international ventures.
Prior to joining Buchler Philips, Fedder held a range of roles across the professional services industry, and has been responsible for crisis management and communications for several major businesses, representing them to institutional analysts, shareholders and government, up to Prime Minister level.
This included a spell as Director with KPMG Consulting – in an information technology, media and telecoms remit – as well as time as a Principal with Kearney, where he was Head of Voice of Customer and Marketing, and a Principal with PA Consulting, where he was Head of Technology and Commercial Innovation in the firm’s Technology Management service line.
As the effects of the recession caused by Covid-19 continue to be felt across all industries, restructuring is one of the few areas of business still to be thriving. Buchler Phillips is the UK’s oldest independent corporate recovery and restructuring firm, and Fedder is the latest in a line of appointments it has made to meet the needs of more clients this year.
Earlier in January, for example, this saw Larry Jobsz appointed the firm’s Managing Partner.
