Cee0 network helps businesses lower their carbon footprint
A group of businesses and entrepreneurs has launched a collaborative business network powered by smart technology aimed at helping organisations with driving their carbon reduction strategies. Cee0 maps real-time carbon emission data, allowing for fast and informed decision-making on how to downsize an organisation’s carbon footprint.
In 2019, the UK became the first major economy in the world to pass laws aiming to end its contribution to global warming by 2050. The target will require the UK to bring all greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050, compared with the previous target of at least 80% reduction from 1990 levels.
2020 has subsequently seen a growing number of private and public entities aiming to be zero-carbon within a short amount of time. Strategy giant Bain & Company recently marked its ninth year of carbon neutrality – reducing and offsetting its flights, taxi and train rides and all the energy required to power its 58 global offices, while MBB rival Boston Consulting Group pledged to spend $400 million to become climate positive by 2030.
However, many firms are still in the dark about where many of their emissions come from, or how to start planning for net zero. To help find where to actually start – far beyond simply “planting trees,” a coalition of businesses and entrepreneurs has collaborated to produce Cee0 – a new carbon auditing automation platform, which provides organisations with guidance to achieve carbon net zero and beyond, “making a complex goal simple.”
Cee0 network and platform
A statement from the network’s site said, “To reduce your carbon emissions, first you need to know what they are. Powered by artificial intelligence, Cee0 assists with the improvement of general business efficiency including but not limited to; energy, waste, water, travel, HR and raw material management. Cee0 maps your real-time carbon emission data and allows you to make the right decisions to reduce your climate impact and grow your business.”
Led by Sascha Cutura, CEO of convedo; Victor Buchanan Director at Dallol Energy; and Duncan Parker and Ralph Catto, Managing Director and Chairman of Ethical Goods respectively, the membership based network deploys smart technology to build a tailored route-map to low-cost for sustainable resilience.
Alongside the AI-powered platform for real time carbon accounting and reduction, and strategic offerings for value driven business sustainability, the network also gives methods to turn a business into a purpose driven organisation, helping companies to gain the attention of sustainability driven customers – enhancing profitability while making a difference.
