Ben Tye joins the partnership of consulting firm Gate One
Nearly three years after joining the firm, Gate One has promoted Ben Tye to partner.
Ben Tye joined Gate One in February 2018 as a Client Director and member of the executive team, tasked with growing the firm’s footprint in the retail, consumer business and manufacturing sectors.
Founded in 2013, Gate One is a business transformation consultancy specialised in designing and delivering complex change projects and programmes. The London-based consulting firm works for clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, public sector, energy & utilities, pharma and life sciences, as well as the three sectors Tye himself focuses on.
“Ben is a highly experienced adviser and transformation leader whose natural, thoughtful leadership style has won him great respect among those he’s worked with. He has made a significant contribution to our business – and to those of his clients – and we look forward to his continued involvement in helping to shape the Gate One growth story. We are pleased to welcome him to the partnership group,” said Tim Phillips, managing partner of Gate One.
Prior to joining Gate One, Tye led a boutique consultancy he founded, and before that spent six years at Cognizant, latterly heading its 150-strong Programme Management Consulting practice in the UK. Earlier in his career, he among others was a leader at project management consultancy PIPC (acquired by Cognizant in 2010) and eight years at US systems integrator SAIC, where he was the head of its Business Transformation unit.
During his 25-year career, Tye has built a track record of leading large-scale change programmes, driving digital innovations and enabling lasting culture change within some of the UK’s largest organisations.
Commenting on his admission into the firm’s partnership, he said, “At Gate One I’ve had the privilege of working in high-performing consulting teams with colleagues who are committed to doing the very best for their clients. This promotion is as much a recognition of their support as it is my own achievements.”
The appointment lifts Gate One’s partner team to the size of six. Other partners are Tim Phillips (founder, ex-Molten, Moorhouse and Deloitte), Alex Mcevoy, Simon Dennis, Nick Kennell (appointed to partner earlier this year) and David Holliday.
