KPMG partner Dale Williams joins Boston Consulting Group
Boston Consulting Group has appointed Dale Williams to its Operations practice in London. Williams arrives having spent the last decade at Big Four firm KPMG.
Dale Williams commenced his career in operations with Xerox in 1989. During four years with the firm, he became an Operations Manager before joining Airbus as a Supply Chain Development Manager. Moving on after four years once more, he spent the following decade at operational consultancy S A Partners before joining KPMG in 2010.
Initially working as a Director in Corporate Lean for KPMG’s Advisory brand, Williams focused on helping clients deliver significant performance improvement through a series of proven, structured approaches. In 2012, he was named an Advisory Partner, and led the firm’s McLaren alliance until this year.
Looking for a new challenge, Williams has joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Managing Director and Partner in the strategy giant’s Operations practice area. Based in London, he will now work to hone BCG’s digital supply chain and operations offering, while specialising in Industry 4.0, operating model transformation and next-generation operational excellence, including Lean and Six sigma methods.
Commenting on the move via his LinkedIn, Williams said, “After 10 terrific years at KPMG, April 30th was my last day. I am moving on to start the next adventure in my career with Boston Consulting Group. KPMG was a great firm to work for and every minute of the 10 years has been extremely rewarding… Now it’s time for a new challenge, with new people, new capabilities and new ways of working.”
Since breaking the news on the social media network, Williams has seen a huge response, with nearly 1,000 likes and comments. Among the well-wishers, Ceri Hughes, Head of Learning at KPMG said, “Good luck with your new role – it’s been lovely working with a fellow Welshie. Take care!”
Meanwhile, KPMG Technology Advisor Andy Wilson commented, “Good luck Dale – interesting time to make a new start!” On the other side of the move, Jade Sharpe, a Principal in Consumer Retail at BCG, added, “Welcome to BCG Dale! Be great to catch up when you join us!”
