Equiteq, Grant Thornton, IMA and PwC win M&A awards
Acquisition International has unveiled the winners of it Merger & Acquisitions Awards, with over a dozen leading consultancies lauded for the quality of their M&A services. Among the winners are well-known brands such as Equiteq, Grant Thornton and PwC.
Last year, over 25,000 deals with an aggregate deal value of over $3 trillion closed across the globe according to data from Dealogic, demonstrating the continued healthy fundamentals underpinning the mergers & acquisitions market.
The large majority of these deals are advised on by external advisors, who help buyers and sellers with all facets of a transactions, from strategising ‘growing to sell’ plans and target searching through to due diligence, deal structuring, and actual negotiations and closing.
Competition among M&A consultancies for winning mandates is fierce, with hundreds of corporate finance and M&A consulting firms active in the space. For clients, selecting the right consultancy comes down to finding the firm with the right network, track record and capabilities to deliver on their expectations.
Aimed at helping decision-makers navigate the crowded landscape and make the right hiring decisions, Acquisition International’s annual Merger & Acquisitions Awards recognise excellence in the M&A industry, placing the spotlights on M&A consulting firms that have in the past year provided “outstanding efforts and achievements” for their clients.
Out of hundreds of submissions for the awards, a list of winners across 20+ categories have been announced. One of the top awards, Best Global M&A Advisory Firm, was scooped by Equiteq, a London-headquartered global investment bank that provides M&A and strategic consultancy to owners of companies in the professional services industry.
Covering the UK market, Grant Thornton won the ‘Excellence Award in Transactions Advisory Services’ and Leicester-based IMA Corporate Finance won the ‘Best Small to Mid-Cap M&A Advisors’ awards. Meanwhile, the Corporate Finance arm of PwC won the ‘Best Multinational Corporate M&A Advisory’ prize for its dealmaking efforts in the GCC region.
