Wipro names Kris Denton new Global Head Consulting
Following the departure of the former Global Head of Consulting Alexis Samuel, information technology and services firm Wipro has appointed Managing Partner of the Americas Kris Denton as the new Global Head of its Consulting business.
Kris Denton has been with Wipro Consulting Services since 2009, when he joined the firm as the Managing Partner for Business Transformation of the Americas. Since then, he held several leading positions, including Lead Partner of North America and Managing Partner of the Americas. Prior to joining Wipro, Denton was Partner at consulting firms McKinsey & Company, between 1987 and 2002, and Accenture, from 2002 to 2005. Other roles held by Denton include Executive Vice President of Infinity Group Management Services, Director of Research at Lawrence Kudlow & Associates and Economics Assistant at White House Office of Management & Budget.
As the new Global Head of Wipro Consulting Services, Denton will replace Alexis Samuel and report to Bhanumurthy Ballapuram, Wipro’s CEO for Digital, Wipro Consulting Services and Business Application Services.
