BCG Digital Ventures has expanded its European Leadership Team with the addition of Nathalie Gaveau as Managing Director and Partner. Gaveau will operate from the group’s offices in London and Paris.

Founded in 2014, BCG Digital Ventures (BCG DV) is the digital innovation, incubation, and investment arm of global advisory giant Boston Consulting Group. The organisation develops, builds and launches services with clients, with examples including the recent launch of second-hand vehicle sales app heycar.

Amid heightened demand for its services, the global team of BCG DV has been going through a period of expansion recently. Earlier in 2019, it appointed Manuela Rabener as a Partner in its London wing – an office which has more than doubled in size since 2016, with a headcount standing at around 130.

Now, as BCG DV prepares for a busy 2020, it has followed this up by strengthening its European Leadership Team. Nathalie Gaveau arrives as a Managing Director and Partner at the firm, and will work from their London and Paris offices, bringing 20 years of experience in consumer goods, digital services and international trade to the table. She will focus primarily on financial institutions, insurance, and TMT for the firm, building on her extensive experience in creating successful transactional marketplaces.

Gaveau started her career as a Mergers & Acquisition Financial Analyst at Lazard, before taking on the first of many entrepreneurial ventures, co-founding PriceMinister.com, an online French marketplace for second-hand trading in consumer goods, which was sold to Japan's Rakuten for over $230 million in 2010. She has since overseen digital business development at Club Med Asia Pacific and Tequila/, founded trans-Atlantic fashion platform SHOPCADE, and taken on a host of Non-Executive positions.

These include being a Limited Partner with Lead Edge Capital, a Non-Executive Director with HEC Paris, CALIDA AG and Coca-Cola European Partners, as well as being a Foreign Trade Advisor of France in the UK. Gaveau will retain these roles alongside her new position with BCG DV. She was also recently named among the Top 50 EU Women in Tech by Forbes.

A statement from BCG DV said that the addition of Gaveau “represents the company’s further strengthening of its industry depth and global reach, particularly in Europe.”
