Deloitte poaches Capita consultant for Real Estate team
Deloitte has poached Claire O'Shaughnessy from Capita, taking on the role of Director within its Real Estate Consulting business unit. She brings over 20 years’ experience to the role, and will oversee various developments within the practice, including public sector land release and disposal, business case delivery and estate strategies.
Claire O’Shaughnessy joins Deloitte from consulting firm Capita, where she worked as Consultant for the MoD/DIO sector in its Property and Infrastructure practice for just under a year. Prior to this, she worked at the Homes and Communities Agency for 11 years, ascending to the rank of Head of Land. Between 2001 and 2003, she worked as Committee Specialist for the House of Commons. Before this, she worked as a Manager for the London Development Agency and as Policy Officer for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. O’Shaughnessy started her career at PwC in 1995, working for nearly three years at the accounting and consulting firm as a Consultant.
O'Shaughnessy holds a Bachelor degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Queens College, Oxford.
O'Shaughnessy's experience gained at the Homes and Communities Agency, where she led the public sector land team, will be leveraged in her new position as Director of Real Estate Consulting at Deloitte. In her new role, she will be advancing public sector land release and disposal, business case delivery, estate strategies and programme development and management.
