As Baines Simmons looks to extend its training services to new clients, the firm’s consulting and training department is preparing to host a series of courses in Amsterdam. The two-week run of sessions will constitute the first time Baines Simmons has offered these services beyond the borders of the UK.

Founded in 1961, aviation safety consulting firm Baines Simmons specialises in aviation regulation, compliance and safety management. The firm is part of the training and consultancy division of global aviation services group Air Partner, and has been growing its team throughout the last year, with a string of hires in 2019.

Baines Simmons' consulting and training department offers aviation safety management and fatigue risk management, while its aviation managed services offering comprises air traffic services, wildlife hazard management and aircraft registry services. Now, as the firm continues to expand its offering to new clients, it has extended its aviation safety training courses beyond UK shores for the first time.

At present, Baines Simmons runs courses out of its UK-based Aviation Safety Academy at Fairoaks Airport, as well as in-company. However, as the Academy continues to go from strength to strength – having seen bookings increase by 30% year-on-year – it is looking to grow its geographical reach for its informative and engaging aviation safety training.

From the last week of November, Baines Simmons will be offering five of its most popular classes in Amsterdam, aimed at a range of roles including Safety Managers and Form 4 Holders. The courses, which end in the first week of December, cover topics including the management of continuing airworthiness, optimising design organisation approval, and the implementation of fatigue risk management systems, among other issues in the aviation space.

Ian Holder, Managing Director at Baines Simmons, commented, “We have been delighted by the on-going success of our Aviation Safety Academy and it is a natural progression for us to extend our expertise and experience in aviation safety to a wider audience in different locations. Our courses are designed to deliver real results in the workplace by shaping attitudes, changing minds and effecting a positive change at both a personal and organisational level. We very much look forward to welcoming our new attendees in Amsterdam to build their practical skills and knowledge.”
