Greg Leonard joins Cornerstone Research's London office
Cornerstone Research Vice President Greg Leonard has re-located to the firm’s London office. Leonard spent the last 17 years with the firm’s Washington office.
Cornerstone Research is a US-headquartered economic and financial consultancy, with over 700 staff across offices in Boston, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Washington. The firm also holds a key hub in London which taps a wide range of top-level expertise from prominent faculty and industry practitioners to provide expert testimony in client cases pertaining to economic matters.
To support its growing roster of UK and Europe-based financial services clients, Cornerstone Research’s London office has welcomed economics expert Greg Leonard, a Vice President with the firm, who will lead the European finance practice. The move comes after Leonard spent the past 17 years with Cornerstone Research’s office in Washington.
During his time in the US as a Senior Advisor, Leonard honed his expertise on market manipulation and anti-competitive conduct in financial markets, as well as formerly heading the firm’s energy and commodities practice . He has also developed nearly two decades of experience with complex commercial disputes and regulatory investigations involving finance and competition issues, as well as matters related to energy, commodities and intellectual property. Prior to his time with Cornerstone Research, Leonard was an Associate with the Brattle Group, having obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester.

Leonard has consulted in numerous finance cases, addressing such issues as market manipulation and disruptive trading patterns and strategies across a wide variety of financial instruments and commodities. He has also consulted on investment, valuation and other matters involving financial products, such as equities and equity derivatives, auction rate securities, mutual funds, convertible stock, treasuries and other government debt, high-yield bonds and private equity. On behalf of clients, he has appeared before regulators in Europe and North America.
