Crowe UK promotes Tara Wescott to Partner in non-profits
Crowe UK has made a senior appointment as it grows its offering of services to the third sector. Tara Westcott will now lead the consultancy’s non-profits team as Partner.
Crowe Global is a professional services network which currently boasts a total global workforce of more than 36,000 professionals, and saw a combined revenue in of $3.8 billion in 2017. The network of more than 200 firms has been working with a multinational client base across borders for seven decades, but in that time it has constantly evolved. Most recently this saw the network move to a unified brand ahead of its 75th anniversary.
The firm’s UK wing has also been undergoing a series of changes in 2019. Earlier in the year, Crowe expanded its corporate finance offering in the UK by appointing Mark Allen as a Partner in the division. Now, as the consultancy looks to strengthen its non-profit offering – having been recognised as a top charity auditor by the Charity Financials Audit Spotlight report and Charity Financials Audit Survey, 2009–2019 – it has added another Partner with the promotion of Tara Westcott.
Commenting on her new role, Westcott said, “I am absolutely delighted to have been invited to join the partnership team at Crowe. I very much look forward to continuing to help grow our non-profit offering, working with our talented non-profit teams nationally. Crowe is an exceptional firm and I am very proud to be part of it.”
Westcott joined the firm in 2016, and was most recently an Audit Director in Crowe’s Cheltenham office. Alongside her new role, she will continue to provide external and internal audit, financial reporting and accounting and regulatory compliance services to a wide range of clients.
Prior to life at Crowe, Westcott began her career with Big Four firm KPMG, where she began as a PA in the firm’s audit department before qualifying as an accountant in 2006. She spent a further 10 years at the firm, working for a range of leading charities, education organisations, local government associations and private enterprises.
Nigel Bostock, Chief Executive of Crowe UK, commented, “Tara’s talent and experience has long been held in the highest esteem by her colleagues and clients. Her hard work, insight and depth of knowledge has been invaluable to Crowe in recent years and this will continue as she becomes a key figure in our leading Non Profits team.”
