International professional services firm Libra Europe Consulting has launched a new locale in the North West of England, as it strives to boost its support of clients in the region. The Manchester office hosts innovative collaborative spaces, and is located near the Manchester Piccadilly station for optimal transport links.

Founded in 2000, Libra Europe Consulting specialises in transforming operational and supply chain functions, with a focus on clients in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors. The firm’s business unit has a headcount of 30 staff, supported by several partnerships with technology providers in the operations and supply chain realm. Libra Europe Consulting has recently worked with clients such as Glenmorangie, Labeyrie Fine Foods, Mastercard, Sainbury’s and XPO Logistics.

Amid heightened demand, the firm committed to a new structure earlier in 2019. Four business units have been set up to group the firm’s expertise, with Libra Transaction Partners spearheading Libra’s work on sales, mergers, acquisitions and turnarounds; Libra Change Partners fulfilling its service area for change management; the newly launched Libra-3E venture focusing on learning & development with an emphasis on engaging, empowering and enabling teams to perform at higher levels; and Libra Solutions Partners, which supports clients in the vendor selection process as well as on-boarding of software solutions.

The move continues to extend its service provision to help clients transform performance and productivity through effective management of change. The additional regional presence in the North West will provide the consultancy with improved flexibility in the change management support it provides for clients across the retail, food and drink, logistics, transport and financial sectors.

The consultancy’s new Manchester office sits on Oxford Street, near Manchester Piccadilly station, making it convenient for clients and staff to travel to. It includes hot desk areas for its consultants as well as meeting rooms, a presentation suite and an informal business lounge.

The UK represents the world’s second largest individual market for consulting services, and with the Northern Powerhouse project seeing business boom in the North West in particular boom, it has become a popular destination for professional services firms of late. US consultancy Slalom opted to launch a new Manchester office earlier in 2019, while IT firm CGI confirmed the launch of its office in nearby Salford in the Spring. At the same time, Peninsula Group, a mainstay in the area, confirmed it was looking to recruit 70 graduates for roles in HR, legal, sales, marketing, IT and health & safety, following record levels of growth.
