Scottish consultancy announces 70 new jobs in Glasgow office
Scottish consulting firm Pursuit Marketing has announced plans to hire 70 new staff in its Glasgow operations. The firm currently employs around 180 staff in its offices in the Finnieston area of the city, as well as its new European hub in Spain.
Founded in 2008, Pursuit Marketing is a professional services firm which has been delivering campaigns in the technology and B2B market space for over a decade. According to its LinkedIn profile, Pursuit is the fastest-growing telemarketing agency in the UK, working to develop its clients’ 360 marketing communication strategies to guarantee ROI and drive revenue.
The company has been working hard to expand its operations across the continent, with the marketing consultancy recently launching a new locale on the Costa del Sol. Pursuit Marketing chose Malaga Province for its new office over the traditional business hubs of Madrid and Barcelona, opening its office in April with a launch party at the Sol Torremolinos hotel.
Back in its domestic market, Pursuit Marketing is now also targeting a period of expansion, on the back of strong results. Pursuit Marketing, which is part of the 4icg Group, saw turnover rise by 33% to more than £4 million in the year to the end of June, which it attributed to increased demand from the world's largest technology companies and on-going international expansion. On top of this, according to reports from the BBC, last year, Pursuit secured Regional Selective Assistance funding worth £450,000 to help it expand.
The company has announced that it will look to create 70 new jobs in its Glaswegian headquarters, in Finnieston, adding to its 180 staff already in the city. It also noted it was working to improve productivity with a series of innovative methods, including a four-day working week.
Patrick Byrne, a Founding Director of the business, said, "We are delighted with our latest financial results, which are a testament to our hard-working team, and increased demand from our clients spanning 32 countries worldwide. As a result, we are now evaluating options for larger office accommodation in Glasgow, as well as additional offices in Europe and potentially the US or Canada."
