Jungle IT purchases IT operations of Mazars Leeds
Mazars has completed the sale of its IT operations in Leeds for an undisclosed sum. The wing of the professional services firm’s managed services business has been purchased by Jungle IT, which takes its headcount to 25 with the move.
Founded in 2004, Jungle IT is an IT reseller based in Leeds, with a second office in Halifax. The West Yorkshire company provides all major brands of IT hardware & software, including HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft, and with particularly strong links with Dell, Toshiba, and Netapp in to the education and legal sector. The firm has a turnover of £6 million, and has grown significantly in recent years thanks to its diversification from a supplier of hardware and software to offering complete, managed computer services.
Amid this push into the IT consulting sector, Jungle IT has completed the acquisition of the IT team of Mazars’ Leeds office. The auditing and advisory firm’s three IT operations staff will now transfer to Jungle IT, taking the firm’s headcount to 25, enabling Jungle IT to strengthen its managed IT services offering.
Jonathan Asquith, founder and Managing Director of Jungle IT, said, “The former Mazars’ IT services operation is a great fit for us and it will very much be business as usual for existing clients. The acquisition will also enable us to harness the skills of this experienced team to rapidly expand our managed services offering to SMEs throughout the region and support their digital transformation. It is the first of a number of acquisitions we plan to make as we build up our services to offer a complete portfolio of managed IT services to Jungle clients.”
The move comes after a decade-long relationship being fostered between Mazars and Jungle IT. According to Oliver Hoffman, Managing Partner at Mazars’ Leeds office, the move will allow clients of the firms to continue enjoying quality IT services.
Hoffman said, “Having provided our computer hardware needs for over ten years, we have a strong relationship with Jungle IT and were confident that they would be able to offer the same high standards of service to our clients as well as enabling our established IT team to continue to work together.”
