As the firm chases European growth, Ascertus has completed a trio of appointments in its UK office. Melissa Jobson joins as a Marketing and Communications Manager, while Brendan McMahon and Nickie Ashton have joined as Technical Consultants.

Consulting firm Ascertus provides document and information lifecycle management solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments in the UK and across Europe. As the financial services ecosystem in London prepares for another year of digitalisation, in order to gear up for an uncertain post-Brexit economy after 2019, consultancies are looking to bolster their offerings amid an expected boom in demand. Earlier in the year, this saw Andrew Payne join Ascertus as Head of Professional Services, as the firm looks to enhance its service quality in the future.

Now, the consultancy has strengthened its organisation once more, with a further three appointments. Brendan McMahon and Nickie Ashton have joined as Technical Consultants and Melissa Jobson as Marketing and Communications Manager, as the firm plots for another year of solid growth across its European operations.Melissa Jobson, Brendan McMahon and Nickie Ashton

Nickie Ashton joins Ascertus with over 20 years of experience in the legal software industry. Ashton has successfully delivered projects across a range of solutions, and arrives at Ascertus from BigHand, where she was an Implementation Consultant. Prior to that, she was a Technical Deployment Consultant at The ai Corporation.

Brendan McMahon brings a first-hand understanding and knowledge of the document management challenges of law firms, having spent time at Wragge & Co and Gowling WLG as a DMS Support Coordinator/Subject Matter Expert. In that latest role, McMahon was responsible for the management of firm document management systems, including product roadmaps, design, infrastructure and support. As Technical Consultants, McMahon and Ashton will work with the project management team to successfully deliver projects to meet the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Melissa Jobson has been appointed after 20 years in communications. Having worked as a journalist with Global Radio and ITN, she took on a Marketing Communications Manager role with consulting firm Aon. Later, she held the role of Media Relations Manager with insurance firm AXA, before joining global bank HSBC. Over her 11 years with the group, Jobson rose to become a Senior Communications Manager, before taking her new job with Ascertus, where she will look to help the firm better take advantage of the business opportunities that the market presents.

Roy Russell, CEO of Ascertus, commented “As Ascertus plans for another year of growth in 2019-20 across Europe, we are investing in further strengthening and expanding the knowledge base and skill set to provide a holistic and well-rounded service that ultimately contributes to customer success. These appointments will enable us to significantly reduce lead times on projects, allowing us to deliver solutions faster without compromising on the quality of service and support.”
