Jamie Loder joins Maine Pointe as a Partner in London office
Jamie Loder has joined Maine Pointe as a Partner in the firm’s London office, with a focus on clients in the private equity sector.
Prior to joining Maine Pointe, a global supply chain and operations consulting firm with offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Loder worked as a company director, a partner in professional services, an entrepreneur and an accountant, among other roles.
Throughout his career, he has helped numerous private equity firms assess targets (financial, operational due diligence) and deliver deal drivers. Loder has further led management buy-outs, and has successfully exited businesses he founded.
“Jamie will be essential in continuing the expansion of our European business,” said David Jadwin, Executive Vice President, Business Development at Maine Pointe. “His relationships with leading private equity firms, and his deep experience and track record in driving value creation, will provide us with a closer connection with the top leaders in the European financial sector.”
His appointment comes at a time when Europe’s private equity sector is booming – in 2018, the industry reached its highest level in a decade, with 2,168 deals combined generating €262 billion in deal value, up 9% on the year previous. The UK and Ireland accounted for 22% of total number of deals, illustrating how – despite Brexit – the UK remains Europe’s sweet spot for private equity-backed deal activity.
Maine Pointe’s services to private equity firms focus on operational, implementation-type work, helping clients rapidly increase EBITDA and cash flow of portfolios and portfolio companies. The consulting firm’s specialists work in areas such as mergers & acquisitions (operational due diligence), procurement, logistics and operations. According to a recent Maine Pointe survey of 50 private equity executives, shareholder value is inextricably linked to supply chain performance, however, many players in the industry still lack understanding of this critical importance.
“Jamie’s extensive track record of helping executives overcome complex business problems will help in Maine Pointe’s goal of driving value creation in the portfolio companies of UK and European private equity firms,” Jadwin added.

Jamie Loder is a Qualified Chartered Accountant, and received his BA in Politics, Political Science and International Relations at Newcastle University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.
