As part of the 2017 UK & Europe Employee Engagement Awards, the organisers of the awards have named eight consulting firms as the top employee engagement consultancy firms of the year. Benefex, Cirrus, Dragonfish, H&H, Instinctif Partners, NSU Media, Purple Cubed and SYLO Associates will now await the announcement of the winner, which will come in the New Year.

The 2017 UK & Europe Employee Engagement Awards, in association with People Insight, has announced its shortlist of finalists. These are the companies that the judges believe put the employee experience at the heart of their business. The awards, hosted in association with People Insight – a specialist employee engagement and culture consultancy which works to help HR leaders make people decisions – are aimed at recognising top level work in employee engagement, as well as being geared toward inspiring more employers to follow the leading examples of the winners.

Shortlists of top performers across 17 industries have been announced. High-profile finalists include names from both public and private spheres, such as BT, Coca-Cola, Fitness First, LG, the Ministry of Justice, Post Office, Southampton Football Club, Vodafone, and many more. The outright winners of the awards will be announced in the New Year, at the awards gala at Wembley Stadium on January 25th 2018. Following the ceremony, the Employee Engagement Awards will also host a Conference on March 1st, where the finalists and winners will be profiled, and used to provide practical advice to help Engagement professionals achieve better employee engagement results.

Employee Engagement Awards

Speaking on this year’s prospective winners, Employee Engagement Awards founder Matt Manners said, “It’s great to see the number and quality of entries increase again this year. It shows that business leaders clearly value the difference that putting people at the heart of their organisations can make.”

People Insight Managing Director, Tom Debenham, added, “Employee engagement has become ‘business as usual’ in organisations from the very large to the very small, across every sector. There are really clever, accessible ideas in the entries which we look forward to showcasing at the Conference in March.”

Notably, one of the 17 selections announced focused specifically on the consulting industry, with eight firms with a UK presence making the grade.

Employee Engagement Consultancy of the Year Award

Founded in 2003 by CEO Matt Macri-Waller, Benefex aims to assist a greater range of benefits being introduced into the workplace of its clients. The firm began designing and building its own technology in 2011, since meshing technological consultancy and benefits advisory to offer holistic employee experience solutions. The firm is joined by leadership and HR transformation consultancy Cirrus, and organisational consulting start-up, Dragonfish. Founded in 2014, Dragonfish UK aids businesses in their performance and culture transformations, having been established in Southampton base, before spreading to London, Sydney and LA. Their previous clients feature a number of well-known brands across multiple sectors including Fitness First, GoAhead, Lastminute.com, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and IBM.

Also making the grade, internal communications agency H&H provide employee engagement services from their offices in London and Yorkshire, aiming to help clients’ staff remain motivated, committed, and productive. Fellow nominee Instinctif Partners provides business communications consultancy services focusing on financial and corporate communications. The London-headquartered consulting firm also caters to public policy, audience engagement, and life sciences needs of clients in the United Kingdom and internationally. Oxfordshire-based SYLO Associates were also shortlisted. The HR consultancy’s team of qualified CIPD consultants is dedicated to providing straightforward HR advice and support.

Several nominees also emphasise their work with innovative technology to offer new solutions. Employee engagement specialists NSU Media state on their company website that they are “revolutionising employee engagement” by focusing on frontline managers and using technology as a learning tool. Meanwhile, Purple Cubed also leverage technology to provide solutions for their clients’ employee engagement needs – something the firm claims saves clients over £10 million every year, in addition to increasing their revenue. The group’s methods have been adopted and appreciated by over 100 great businesses, while 600,000 people visit their software every year in 500 cities across the world.
