Alvarez & Marsal: Dhruv Sarda to direct M&A practice
Alvarez & Marsal has boosted its M&A practice with M&A specialist Dhruv Sarda as its new Senior Director and Head of Corporate M&A Strategy and Post-Merger Integration in Europe. In this capacity, Sarda will be charged with expanding the firm’s service offering to corporates.
After completing his Bachelor degree in Business Management at King's College London, Dhruv Sarda joined PwC in 1999, working in their consulting division in the areas of strategy, HR and financial management, after two years, he moved into PwC's corporate finance & privatisation team. After another two years, Sarda joined ABN AMRO as an M&A advisor in the company’s Corporate Finance division, a role he fulfilled for one year. In 2005 Sarda joined Accenture, holding various positions for the firm including a leadership position in their Global M&A practice and Accenture Strategy.
In addition to his Bachelor degree in Business Management, Sarda holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge. In addition, he has a CIMA qualification from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Corporate Finance qualification from the Securities and Investment Institute.
Sarda will bring 15 years’ experience in M&A strategy, commercial and operational due diligence, divestitures and post-merger integration to his new role as Senior Director and leader of Alvarez & Marsal corporate M&A Strategy and Post-Merger Integration practice in Europe. In this capacity, Sarda will help with the firm's expanding service offering to corporates in support of anticipated growth in M&A activity in 2015.
