Alvarez adds Ramin Tabibzadeh to Performance Improvement unit
Alvarez & Marsal has picked up Ramin Tabibzadeh for its Performance Improvement practice, he joins the Los Angeles office as a Managing Director, coming from The Hackett Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for improving the bottom line performance of top and mid-market clients of the firm, and is part of the firm’s expansion in the area of performance management.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Ramin Tabibzadeh worked at The Hackett Group, which he joined in 2009. In his more recent role at the Group, Tabibzadeh was the Global Practice Leader for almost three years; previously he was the West Region Leader in 2012 and Practice Leader between 2009 and 2012. Between 2003 and 2009, Tabibzadeh worked at Archstone Consulting, where, in his latest position, he was Principal. Earlier roles include Senior Manager at Deloitte, between 1999 and 2003, Manager at A.T. Kearney, between 1994 and 1999, and Project Manager at Boeing Rocketdyne, between 1988 and 1994 – where he started his career.
Tabibzadeh has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master of Science in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from MIT and a Master of Business Administration in Management from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
As part of its expansion strategy, Alvarez & Marsal announced the appointment of Tabibzadeh as Managing Director in its Performance Improvement practice in Los Angeles. Tabibzadeh brings more than 28 years of broad industry experience to the firm, including, among others, aerospace and defence, consumer packaged goods, energy, financial services, health care, high tech and industrial manufacturing. In his new role, he will be tasked with supporting Global 1000 and mid-market clients improve their EBITDA performance through improvements to their bottom line through, among others, operational cost optimisations and effective technology implementations.

In their Middle East office, Alvarez & Marsal also recently made new appointments in the Performance Improvement team, by the addition of both Saeeda Jaffar and David Tusa as Managing Directors.
