James Morris joins Baker Tilly from Big 4 firm KPMG
Baker Tilly has appointed James Morris as its North-West Tax Director. Morris joins from KPMG, a company where he worked for eleven years, during which he specialised in international corporate tax and M&A tax.
Morris joins accounting and business consulting firm Baker Tilly from KPMG, a company where he worked for almost eleven years from 2003 and leaves as Tax Senior Manager. During this time, Morris has specialised in advising companies on tax implications of international operations and in M&A tax, and has gained experience in corporate tax compliance, R&D and capital allowances. Morris has a degree from Merchant Taylors' Schools in Crosby, London.
At Baker Tilly, Morris will act as Tax Director of the North-West tax team, and will divide his time between the firm’s offices in Manchester and Preston. “I’m delighted to welcome James to our already successful tax team in the North-West. His experience and knowledge will be of great benefit to business owners across the region, especially at a time when many are looking to grow their business as the economy continues to improve,” comments Jill Jones, Baker Tilly’s North West Regional Managing Partner.
