Mazars eyes strong growth in East Midlands region
Mazars has announced the creation of two senior roles in the East Midlands region that follows its successful regional growth strategy. Alistair Wesson will take on the position of East Midlands Managing Partner and Martin Rogers the role of Senior Partner in Nottingham.
Advisory and accounting firm Mazars has created two new senior roles in the East Midlands. The creation demonstrates Mazars’ successful growth strategy and its ambitious plans for the region. Earlier this year the firm opened an office in Leicester, and its Nottingham office has more than doubled since 2013. These expansions created the need for new senior roles to take on the broadened regional responsibilities and wider management structure.
New roles
Mazars has promoted Alistair Wesson as the East Midlands Managing Partner. Wesson has been a Partner at Mazars since October 2013. Before joining Mazars he worked for professional services firm RSM Tenon for 12 years, where he held different directorial positions and grew out to Managing Partner Nottingham. Prior to that, he worked at BDO for 9 years.
Martin Rogers will take on the role of Senior Partner in Nottingham. Rogers has worked for Mazars for the past 9 years as its East Midlands Senior Partner. Prior to this, Rogers worked, among others, as consultant for different companies and MBI teams, was a Senior Partner at PwC.
“The region is a vital component of Mazars’ substantial central region and it is fantastic to be working alongside Martin as we pursue our plans and strategy. Together we make an effective and experienced team – I have no doubt we can deliver strongly across the coming years,” comments Wesson.
